Dustin is an award-winning filmmaker and curator from LA who now resides in London. A champion of cinematic short form content, he is the director of Kino Short Film which operates the Kino London Short Film Festival, Kino Short Film Open Mic and Kino Short of the Week online series. After winning Best Student Short at Shriekfest at age 18 (Repossesed) Murphy has produced, written, and directed a 50 episode web series (Happy Hour Sketch Comedy), 8 cinematic short films, and is currently in post-production on his feature film debut. Previous work highlights include: Samaritan (Winner: Best International Short at Sedona Film Festival, Winner: Grand Prize at The Weather Channel’s #EarthFilmChallenge, Semi-Finalist at Academy Award Qualifying Rhode Island International Film Festival, plus Official Selections at various BAFTA/BIFA qualifiers) and Nora (premiered at BFI IMAX as the centrepiece of TEDxNHS and won 19 awards, including 2 for best director).
