A mirror on contemporary culture
Curation Hour is a platform dedicated to video content within a specific range of categories. Our aim is to provide visibility to productions across fashion, music, dance, art, design, lifestyle and contemporary culture. We accept independent projects, as well commercial work - as long as it fits within one of our categories, then Curation Hour is your home.
We are looking for short films, animations, documentaries and video content that make us question our understanding of society. Out of the ordinary work, extraordinary work, hybrid work that doesn’t quite fit into conventional genres. We are looking for productions that are hard to place, but that need to be seen. Uncomfortable, yet stunning. Challenging, yet hilarious. Clever, yet unpretentious.
Amplifying your voice
Every submission is personally reviewed by us. We curate content that is well crafted, emotionally engaging and has a unique aesthetic sensibility. If selected, we’ll feature you on Curation Hour and promote your work through our social media channels. Being featured also means having the chance to be included in our monthly curated playlist and newsletter.
But that’s not all. We know how important it to make sure that the right people see your work. That’s why we have have decided to put together a growing network of professionals to share your work with. These are meaningful connections built over the years - journalists, film festival programmers and awards directors with the power to provide even more visibility to your work. Equipped with an understanding of what they are looking for, we share with them the strongest works per category on a regular basis. Think of it as a form of matching; if they like the work they’ll reach out to you directly.
Who’s behind Curation Hour?
Publicist and festival strategist Niccolò Montanari entered the creative industry by co-founding Berlin Fashion Film Festival in 2012. In 2016 he left the company to embark on a solo journey to support film directors, production companies and brands with PR and festival distribution. Curation Hour is his latest project in collaboration with Ro Purushotham, born out of the need for video content to be seen, appreciated and shared.
