1.4 Awards

A Celebration of Creativity and Craft for the 2022 Edition

Text by Curation Hour

In 2012 Curation Hour network member Lyndy Stout founded 1.4 - a platform championing the work of talented filmmakers worldwide. Since then the project has developed online, by featuring new work via detailed and thoughtful interviews with directors, and offline, via an annual event in London awarding the best commercial and personal projects across a range of categories. First Deputy Editor of Creative Review and then Editor of shots for over a decade, Lyndy celebrates excellent filmmaking where craft and idea come together beautifully.

A few weeks ago we the chance to attend the latest edition of the 1.4 awards, their first live event since the pandemic. Though all the selections and winners are available online, there were five works that stuck with us and that we’d love to share with you today.
